Shipping FAQ

Common shipping questions.

COD is Cash on Delivery: your customer pays the courier when the parcel arrives. The courier collects the cash and remits it to your bank account on an agreed cycle, which you can follow in your RoutikQ wallet.

RTO is Return to Origin: a parcel that could not be delivered and travels back to you. You usually pay freight both ways, so a high RTO rate quietly eats your margin.

A weight slab is the weight band a courier charges you by, such as 0-500g or 500g-1kg. Cross the band by a few grams and you pay the next slab, which is why accurate packed weight matters.

Volumetric weight is the space a parcel takes up, calculated from its dimensions. Couriers bill you on whichever is higher: actual weight or volumetric weight.

NDR stands for Non-Delivery Report: the courier attempted delivery and failed, for example the customer was unavailable or refused the parcel. Acting on NDRs quickly is the cheapest way to prevent an RTO.

COD remittance is the payout of cash your customers paid on delivery. RoutikQ pays it into your bank account on a fixed cycle agreed with you, and every collection is visible the day it is confirmed.
